Supreme court orders to open everything

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) has ordered to keep small markets across the country open on Saturdays and Sundays and also to open shopping malls.

A five-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan heard the Corona virus suo motu notice case in which Additional Attorney General, Advocate General Sindh and Commissioner Karachi and other officials appeared before the court.

At the commencement of the hearing, Commissioner Karachi told the court that some markets have been sealed for non-compliance with SOPs. On this, the Chief Justice directed Advocate General Sindh and Commissioner Karachi not to stop small shopkeepers from working. If shops close, shopkeepers will starve to death instead of corona, open closed markets and explain to them about SOP’s instead of scaring them.

Chief Justice of Pakistan asked that all the markets are open except 5 big malls in Karachi? If the rest of the markets are open then why are the shopping malls closed?

Written order of the Supreme Court
The Supreme Court of Pakistan has also issued a written order in the Corona Virus Suicide Note case, the main points of which are as follows.

The decision to close markets and business activities on Saturday and Sunday was annulled .

Closing markets and business activities on Saturdays and Sundays is unconstitutional.

Advocate Generals of Punjab and Islamabad assured to open shopping malls today.

There is no reason to close shopping malls in Sindh.

The provinces should not obstruct the opening of shopping malls after permission.

Don’t spend all your resources on Corona alone.

Give the federal and provincial governments their position on resource spending.

More diseases than corona are caused annually by other reasons.

NDMA is spending billions of rupees on Corona purchases.

If businesses and industries remain closed for a long time, their resumption will be doubtful.

Millions of workers will be on the streets if businesses and industries are not restored.

It will be impossible for the government to deal with such a catastrophe.
