Karachi: Transporters have announced to run public transport in Karachi from June 1. They said that we will follow all the SOP’s.
Irshad Bukhari, president of the All Karachi Transport Alliance, said during his press conference that the government had promised to run the transport but no final announcement had been made so far.
“After waiting for two months, we are now forced to bring our buses on the roads,” he said. We can’t wait any longer.
He said that passengers should take care of SOPs before boarding the bus, adding that all passengers including the driver would be required to wear masks.
It may be recalled that last week, after the successful talks between Punjab Transport Minister Jahanzeb Khan and transporters, the All Pakistan Public Transport Association decided to open the public transport.
