India launches TikTok replacement app Chingari

India has launched its own app to compete with the most popular Chinese app for making short videos through lip syncing.

The border dispute between China and India has intensified, with Narendra Modi’s government under intense pressure after 20 Indian soldiers were killed by Chinese troops last week, while a campaign to boycott Chinese products continues.

According to a foreign news agency, India has now launched a new app ‘Chingari’ to compete with the Chinese app TikTok, which has been downloaded by more than 500,000 users in the last 72 hours.

With this new Chingari, users can create short videos by lip-syncing like tick-tock, while the app can also be used for social networking as it allows users to send messages.
