Saudi’s Chief Mufti says Eid prayers can be offered at home.
In an interview with the Arab News Agency, Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia and head of the Saudi Scientific and Research Council, said it was appropriate to offer Eid prayers at home in unusual circumstances and in the current global epidemic.
He said that Eid prayers can be offered at home while prayers can be offered alone and in congregation.
The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia urged Saudi citizens to offer Eid prayers at home, saying that in such an environment, parents should spend most of their time at home with their children.
Previously, due to the corona virus, Taraweeh prayers were also announced to be offered at home in Saudi Arabia and certain people were allowed to offer Taraweeh prayers in the Masjid al-Haram, while the five daily prayers in mosques are also prohibited.
In addition, the Saudi government has announced a complete curfew on Eid al-Fitr due to the increasing cases of corona in the country.
