All Pakistan Private Schools Federation demands reopening of schools from June 1

The All Pakistan Private Schools Federation (APPSF) has demanded the reopening of the school from June 1.

Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, APPSF President Kashif Mirza said that more than 200,000 private schools are currently operating in Pakistan and we fully cooperated during the lockdown.

He said that 50 million children are at home because of Corona. If schools do not open, the government should pay salaries to 1.5 million teachers. Schools have been opened in most countries of the world.

Kashif Mirza said that we asked the government for a code of conduct for opening a school and we would abide by it but the government did not give us a code.

On the other hand, the Punjab School Education Department says that we cannot endanger the lives of our children and teachers at any cost. Despite the closure of schools, private school owners are receiving fees.
