Star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has donated medical equipment to fight the Corona virus.
According to Reuters news agency, Cristiano Ronaldo donated medical equipment to the Santa Maria Hospital in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, and the San Antonio Hospital in Porto, as well as his agent Jorge Mendes.
According to the Lisbon Hospital administration, 10 beds, ventilators, heart-monitoring machines, infusion pumps and syringes were brought in to the hospital for equipment donated by Ronaldo, thanks to Ronaldo.
On the other hand, President of the Santo Hospital Council, Barbosa said, “We are sincerely grateful to Ronaldo for stepping in to do so, which is very helpful in the current situation in the country.”
According to the Portugal Ministry of Health, the total number of victims of the Corona virus in the country is 2,362 and 29 deaths have been reported so far.
The Corona virus has spread to 197 countries of the world, with 4,222 people so far, while the number of people has reached 18,892.
The World Health Organization has warned that the United States could become center of the epidemic in the coming days.
