Pakistanis stranded at airports abroad will arrive in 24 hours, said Moeed Yousaf, Special Assistant to the PM Imran Khan for National Security Division.
It is understood that the government announced to suspend international aviation operations from 8 am to 4 pm on March 21 to prevent the Coronavirus.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Moeed Yusuf said that Pakistani travelers stranded in Qatar would arrive tonight, while a special plane to take passengers stranded in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) would leave soon.
Moeed Yousaf said Pakistanis trapped in Turkey have been facilitated by visas and arrangements have been made at the embassy for them to stay. He said that Pakistanis abroad have been requested to cancel their intention to return home for two weeks.
Due to the sudden closure of international flights, many Pakistanis have been stranded at airports in different countries.
It may be mentioned that coronavirus has killed 6 people in Pakistan while the number of infected patients has increased to over 800.
Lockdown has been made in Sindh and Punjab to control the situation while troops have been deployed across the country.
