The federal government has appointed Mushtaq Meher as Inspector General (IG) Sindh Police.
According to the details, the federal government has appointed Mushtaq Meher as IG Sindh Police. The federal cabinet approved a summary through circulation. The Grade 22 officer Mushtaq Meher is currently working under the Federal Government as IG Railways.
Mushtaq Meher has also worked with the Sindh government for three years as Karachi Police Chief. Earlier this week, on February 24, the Sindh government wrote to the Election Commission requesting removal of IG Sindh Police Syed Kaleem Imam.
It should be remembered that in the past, the Sindh cabinet had approved the removal of IG Police Syed Kaleem Imam and handed over his services to the federation, on which Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Firdous Shamim Naqvi announced to go court.
The federal government sent the names of Ghulam Qadir Thabo, Mushtaq Meher, Kamran Fazal, Inaam Ghani and Sanaullah Abbasi for the new IG, but the federal government has approved Mushtaq Meher as new IGP Sindh.
