Islamabad: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has requested Chief Justice Pakistan to take notice of the murder of Sindhi journalist Aziz Memon.
In his statement, Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that Sindhi journalist Aziz Memon, who was killed, had accused the ruling party of Sindh before his death.
He said the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) should investigate the murder of journalist Aziz Memon.
Federal Minister also requested Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed to take notice of the killing.
It may be recalled that a Sindhi journalist Aziz Memon was killed in the city of Mehrabpur in Sindh yesterday while Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah took notice of the incident and demanded a report from the police.
The deceased journalist Aziz Memon got fame during Bilawal Bhutto’s train march last year when he had covered the story of women volunteers, who brought Rs 200 in the train march.
His video went viral on social media, while political leaders, including Prime Minister Imran Khan, mentioned the video in their speeches.
After the news, the deceased journalist Aziz Memon was receiving threats which he had repeatedly expressed.
Aziz Memon had also given a sit-in in Islamabad against local SSP Tariq and Member National Assembly Syed Abrar Shah and appealed for protection.
