The Strategic Cooperation Council meeting of Pakistan and Turkey was held in which PM Imran Khan represented Pakistan and Turkish President Tayyab Erdogan represented Turkey.
After the meeting, 12 MoUs were signed to increase bilateral trade, increase cooperation in various sectors including railways, transport, postal services, infrastructure, tourism, culture, and food.
At a joint press conference with Turk President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after MoUs signing, PM Imran Khan said that the speech made by Turk President at a joint session of parliament was very much liked by Pakistanis and I told Erdogan that if you contest elections in Pakistan, you will clean sweep.
He said that I am grateful to Tayyab Erdogan for voicing the atrocities on Kashmiris on behalf of the whole Pakistani nation. 80 million Kashmiris have been imprisoned for six months and Hurriyat leadership and youth are locked up in jails.
PM Imran Khan said that a new era is coming in the relations between Pakistan and Turkey. We want to learn from Turkey’s development under the leadership of Erdogan. Turkey receives $ 35 billion from tourism.
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said that there was talk of high-level strategic cooperation with the Pakistani leadership, which would provide all possible assistance to Pakistan in social and economic development.
He further said that Turkey stands with Pakistan and will always stand. Turkey will assist Pakistan in further improvement of Pak-Afghan relations. The problem of Kashmir can be resolved through talks and implementation of UN resolutions.
