LAHORE: The Punjab government has removed a shelter home built at the residence of former finance minister Ishaq Dar in Gulberg on the order of the High Court.
In Gulberg Lahore, the Punjab government had established a shelter home in ishaaq Dar, a house of 4 Kanal 7 Marla residence, against which the Lahore High Court issued a stay order.
On receipt of the High Court order, the government has removed the shelter located at Hajvery House, after which the government has set up a temporary shelter in a container in the ground in front of the Dar house.
It is to be noted that the government had earlier announced the auction of Ishaq Dar’s residence in Gulberg, Lahore, which was prepared for auction a few days ago, but the Islamabad High Court has stopped the auction on the request of wife of Ishaq Dar. Thats why the authorities were prevented from auctioning.
In a video statement released on the official Twitter account of the PML-N in this regard, former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar condemned the decision to convert his residence into a shelter, calling it a nexus between the Prime Minister and the Punjab government.
While the PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif termed the government’s move as political retaliation and collapse.
