President Arif Alvi called on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest. The meeting between the two heads of states stressed the importance of making full use of the wide scope of bilateral relations.
At the same time, he stressed the need to transform bilateral relations into a strong and effective commercial and economic partnership. Speaking on the occasion, President Arif Alvi said that the sixth meeting of the High-Level Strategic Council will strengthen and increase the brotherly relations between Pakistan and Turkey.
Dr. Arif Alvi also apprised President Recep Tayyip Erdogan about the deteriorating human rights situation in occupied Kashmir and thanked him for his principled stand on the Kashmir issue. Earlier, on arrival at the Presidency, President Arif Alvi warmly welcomed his Turkish counterpart, where regular meetings were held between the two heads.
