LAHORE: The government has accepted the demands of the Muslim League (Q) in Punjab and the two parties have announced to fight the upcoming elections while maintaining unity.
The government talks committee reached the Chaudhry Brothers’ residence for talks.
The PML-Q leadership welcomed the members of the government committee, after which talks began.
The internal story of the negotiations between the government team and the Muslim League (Q) has emerged, with sources claiming that the government committee has accepted the demands of the PML-Q, after which the Q-League development funds will be released soon. And a follow up meeting will be held in Islamabad in the next two days on this issue.
Sources say that the ministers of the League will be empowered in the affairs of the ministries while the PTI may object to the appointment of any objectionable officer, and the PML-Q will nominate a new officer to be appointed in the relevant ministry.
According to sources, the PML-Q will be empowered to solve public issues in their respective districts.
Sources said that Pervez Khattak and Asad Omar will act on federal issues while Punjab Chief Minister and Governor will be bound to implement them.
After the talks, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that now things have become clear, the issues that have come up have been discussed and resolved.
He said that the challenges faced by the government will be met in consultation with the government. In each period, the government faces challenges.
