Former finance minister Tabassum Dar has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court against the conversion of Ishaq Dar’s residence into a shelter which was heard by Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan.
Ishaq Dar’s wife took the stand that the Islamabad High Court has issued a stay order against the auction of the residence.
The petition further stated that the Punjab government had also violated the High Court order, the government was targeting political leaders for political retaliation, therefore the court should dismiss the Punjab government’s action.
The Lahore High Court has asked the provincial government to respond within 10 days on the request of Ishaq Dar’s wife and at the same time issued an order against the transfer of Ishaq Dar’s house to the shelter.
The government had earlier announced the auction of Hajvery House in Islamabad, located in Gulberg area of Lahore, on which preparations for auctioning of their house had started a few days ago, but the Islamabad High Court stopped the auction.
