KARACHI: Faisal Edhi, chairman of Pakistan’s welfare agency Edhi Foundation, wrote a letter to Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi seeking permission to expel Pakistani students from the Chinese city of Wuhan.
According to the text of Faisal Edhi’s letter, Corona virus is spreading rapidly in Wuhan city of China and there are Pakistani students, Pakistani students are in contact with us and they are worried.
The letter stated that the students did not have any food items, there was no virus confirmed in Pakistani students.
Faisal Edhi said that to allow Pakistani students to be brought back from Wuhan, the Edhi Foundation will work with the flight operation under its assistance.
As per the text of the letter, rescue operation will be started as soon as it is allowed and Pakistani students will be brought in after screening.
Remember that the deadly corona virus from the Chinese city of Wuhan has spread worldwide and so far more than 800 people have died and thousands have been infected in China.
Pakistani students studying in Wuhan city demanded the government to return home, but the government refused to bring them back immediately.
Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Assistant Special Health Minister Dr Zafar Mirza had said that it is in the best interest not to expel people from China, if the citizens return from China, the Corona virus will not be prevented.
