Three provincial ministers, including Shahram Tarakai and Atif Khan, have been removed from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet.
In a statement issued by Governor Shah Farman, senior provincial ministers Atif Khan, Shahram Tarakai and Shakeel Ahmed were asked to de-notify.
The members of the KP cabinet include provincial health minister Shahram Tarakai, senior minister for sports, culture and tourism Atif Khan, and minister for revenue and state Shakeel Ahmed.
According to Geo News, Atif Khan was also unhappy with the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan and he wanted to meet Prime Minister Imran Khan and inform him of his concerns, but three provincial ministers were dismissed before Atif Khan’s meeting with the Prime Minister.
Information Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shaukat Yusufzai told the News that the dismissed ministers were deviating from cabinet decisions and creating problems for the government, so Prime Minister Imran Khan had to dismiss them because of the negative attitude of the three ministers.
Shaukat Yousafzai said that the removal of the ministers is a good decision as no one can be allowed to blackmail the party or the government.
Shaukat Yousafzai said that Atif Khan was also the candidate of the Chief Minister, he was given the largest ministry and four departments, but Atif Khan never recognized Chief Minister Mahmood Khan as chief minister and caused problems.
