According to the Iranian judiciary, several people have been detained last week for being involved in a Ukrainian plane crash near Tehran.
Earlier, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani had said that there would be a comprehensive investigation into the “tragic incident” of a Ukrainian plane being hit and all those responsible for the incident would be punished.
On Tuesday, official spokesman Ghulam Hussein Ismail said the men were detained in connection with an investigation into the Ukrainian plane’s downfall. However, he refused to give further details.
Remember that just eight minutes after flying from Tehran airport on January 8, a Ukrainian plane, whose destination was the Ukrainian capital, ‘fell to the ground’. All 176 people aboard the plane were killed in the crash.
In the beginning Iran declared that the accident happened due to technical failures but later on it admitted that it was human error that has led the plane to crash.
