wslamabad: Pakistan directs citizens planning to move to Iraq.
Pakistan has advised its citizens to be cautious after the tensions erupted following the assassination of Qasim Sulemani, the commander of the Iranian Quds Force in Baghdad, and an Iranian attack on US military bases in Iraq.
A Foreign Office spokesperson said that Pakistani nationals who have been alerted to the recent developments in the region and the security situation should be very careful.
In view of recent developments & prevailing security situation in the region, Pakistani nationals are advised to exercise maximum caution while planning visit to Iraq at this point.
Those already in Iraq are advised to remain in close contact with Pakistan Embassy in Baghdad.

The Foreign Office also said that citizens who are already in Iraq should maintain close links with the Pakistani embassy in Baghdad.
