Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa expressed condolences on the death of former Chief Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Fakhruddin G Ibrahim.
According to Inter source Public Relations (ISPR), Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has expressed condolence and prayed for his forgiveness and Patience for family members, expressing regret over the death of Fakhruddin G. Ibrahim.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has also expressed deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise of retired Justice Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim.
In his condolence message, the Prime Minister said the services of Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim will always be remembered in the field of law and dispensation of justice.
It is to be noted that former Attorney General and Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G Ibrahim has passed away today.
Fakhruddin G Ibrahim’s funeral was held at Mewa Shah Cemetery in Karachi. Chief Justice Sindh High Court, former cricketer Moin Khan, social leader Jibran Nasir and others attended the funeral prayer.
He was appointed as the head of the Election Commission of Pakistan on July 14, 2012 and the general elections of Pakistan were headed by him in 2013.
In addition to Fakhruddin G Ibrahim Supreme Court Judge, he has held the positions of Chief Justice of Sindh High Court, Governor Sindh, Attorney General and Federal Minister of Law, while in 1981 he was also the Judge of the Supreme Court.
