Sri Lankan cricket team coach Ramesh Ratnayake manager Asmatha Demail and security consultant Ramesh Gona Tilak meet Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad. The team is in Pakistan to play two Tests of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Test Championship.
According to reports, the meeting took place on the first day of the Rawalpindi Test, which did not include chairman PCB Ehsan Mani and chief executive Wasim Khan.
The delegation from the Prime Minister’s House left for Rawalpindi to Islamabad at 3:30 pm for a meeting that lasted 15-20 minutes, surprisingly the meeting between the Prime Minister and Sri Lanka Cricket Officials took place without the PCB Chairman .
According to reports, International Cricket Director Zakir Khan played a major role in arranging the meeting of Srilankan cricket team with Prime Minister, the Sri Lankan team’s manager expressed his desire to meet the Prime Minister.
It is to be remembered that Sri Lankan coach Ramesh Ratnayake and manager Asha Demail have played international cricket with Imran Khan.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan appreciated the role of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board for the return of international cricket in Pakistan and appreciated their cooperation.
