The 13th South Asian Games conclude in Nepal. In the event, Pakistani athletes won a total of 32 gold, 41 silver, and 59 bronze medals, making the total number of medals 132.
On the last day of the competition, Pakistan defeated India in the squash and received a gold medal. Pakistani athletes also won medals in judo and boxing on the last day. On the last day of the event, in the squash team event, Pakistan defeated India 1-1 in the men’s competition to win the gold medal.
Pakistan’s Taib Aslam defeated Harinder Singh in the first match, Asim was defeated in the second match by Pardhan. In the third and decisive match, Farhan Mehboob defeated Abhay Singh and handed Pakistan the gold medal.
The 13th South Asian Games ended with India leading, Nepal second, Sri Lanka third and Pakistan fourth. Pakistan won 32 gold medals in the event, which is higher than the combined gold medals of the previous two editions. Pakistan won 12 gold medals in 2016 and 19 in 2010.
