ISLAMABAD: Photographs of one lac children were recovered from Sohail Ayaz’s computer, while the DNA of the accused has also been matched with an effected child.
Rawalpindi police on November 12 arrested Sohail Ayaz, a global gangster who physically abused children and played live video, but was later revealed to be an employee of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
Rawalpindi Faisal Khan, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), gave a briefing on the global group’s abuses at the Senate Committee on Information Technology meeting chaired by Senator Rubina Khalid.
The SSP said that DNA reports had arrived in the Sohail Ayaz case and that a DNA of a child recovered from the accused’s house had been matched to him.
He said that the computer data of the accused was also recovered from which photographs of one lac children have been found while drug reports of the accused Sohail Ayaz and the affected children have also come up positive while Polygraph DNA Blood Test also matched.
SSP Rawalpindi claimed that after getting so much evidence, his case has become very strong.
Meanwhile, Senator Kulsoom Parveen, a member of the Senate Committee on Information Technology, said cases of child abuse are coming up because of timely steps, so we must strengthen the FIA and other agencies.
The committee also directed the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to include mobile companies for awareness.
On the other hand, Chairman PTA also briefed the committee that 8 million websites of child pornography have been blocked, of which 2300 have taken information from Interpol.
The committee directed the FIA to work with Interpol.
It is understood that the accused Sohail contracted with the P&D department as a consultant in November 2017, Sohail was working as a consultant in Governance and Policy Project and his monthly salary was Rs 3 lac 45 thousand.
