Asaduddin Awaisi, the head of the All-India Majlis-e-Islami Muslim League, participated in the debate on the Citizenship Amendment Bill, saying that the law was being made to redistribute it.
He strongly opposed the bill and said that we have excluded the words of Mohammad Ali Jinnah and went with the words of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
Opposing the bill, Asaduddin Awaisi said that we have been with India for 1000 years. “What is our sin, that we are Muslims?” You are making Muslims statusless. The bill threatens the country.
