Tania Aidrus, a senior Google executive, has left Google to take over the role and will serve in Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Digital Pakistan Vision Program.
Tania Aidrus held a key position at Google’s regional head office in Singapore, but she left her attractive job to lead Prime Minister Imran Khan’s digital vision program in Pakistan.
Tania holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States.
Addressing the inaugural function of the Digital Pakistan program, Tania Aidrus said that I have only one agenda and that is I want to see Pakistan grow.
Tania said that when this government came, I felt that I could go to Pakistan because I was confident that this government cared about the future of the common Pakistani.
She told that Jahangir Tareen convinced me to come to Pakistan and helped me meet the Prime Minister and Information Technology Minister which encouraged me to come back to Pakistan.
In her statement on Twitter, Tania Aidrus said, “I thank Prime Minister Imran Khan and Jahangir Tareen for giving me the opportunity to return to my country.”
“With the support of all, we will transform the vision of Digital Pakistan into a reality,” Tania Aidrus said.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Digital Pakistan Vision Program in Islamabad, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that e-governance is essential for the prevention of corruption. As e-governance came into existence, institutions changed.
Imran Khan said that the promotion of technology is essential for controlling unemployment, Digital Pakistan Project is beneficial for the youth, will take advantage of it.
The Prime Minister appreciated Tania Aidrus’ decision to come to Pakistan and said that those who have achieved higher positions have made big decisions in their life, small decisions are personal, while big decisions are for others.
Speaking to the media after the ceremony, Assistant Special Information Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan said that 5 parameters have been set in digital Pakistan, which will enhance the efficiency of the information technology sector.
Firdous Ashiq Awan further said that e-governance will promote transparency, digitalization will help bring innovation in every sector and thereby give access to the information of the common man.
