KARACHI: Former Pakistan cricket team captain and legendary batsman Javed Miandad has urged to Prime Minister Imran Khan to see what has been done to the cricket team.
Javed Miandad told Geo News that there is a lack of professionalism in Pakistan cricket which comes from department cricket.
Referring to former national team captain Sarfraz Ahmed, Javed Miandad said that he is an excellent wicket-keeper and makes a place in his team.
Talking about removing Sarfraz from the captaincy, Javed Miandad said that it was the board’s decision to remove Sarfraz from the captaincy but he was expelled from the team.
Javed Miandad added that the wicketkeeper is always expelled out because of bad wicketkeeping.
Former captain Javed Miandad quoted Australia’s defeat as saying that putting Australia’s defeat on captain Azhar Ali is not correct, what will the captain do when the team is dismissed for a score of 70.
He added that when the team scores big, then the captain’s planning is seen.
Talking about Misbah-ul-Haq’s designation, Javed Miandad said that giving three positions to Misbah-ul-Haq is unreasonable, giving different people the position makes good decisions.
