General Nadeem Raza takes over as Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC). Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved the appointment of Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza to be the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee after the completion of the term of General Zubair Mehmood Hayat.
According to Pakistan Army Department of Public Relations (ISPR), General Nadeem Raza took charge of the post at Joint Staff Headquarters Rawalpindi today.
Remember that former General Nadeem Raza was working as the Chief of General Staff. General Nadeem Raza has also been Corps Commander Rawalpindi and Commandant of Kakul Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) while he has also received Hilal Imtiaz Military.
Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza became Chief of General Staff in August last year, which is the second most important post after Army Chief. He has also worked with General Qamar Javed Bajwa. It should be noted that on the issue of the appointment of the new Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, the Ministry of Defense had sent the summary to the Prime Minister’s Office, four names were proposed in the summary.
Lieutenant General Sarfraz Sattar, Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza were strong candidates. After considering the names proposed by Prime Minister Imran Khan, Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza has been appointed as the new Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee.
