Saudi ruler Shah Salman says he does not want war with Iran but is ready to defend.
According to Arab News, addressing the Saudi Shura Council, King Salman urged Iran to abandon its expansionist ideology.
He pointed to the recent violent protests in Iran, saying that Iranian policies have resulted in the loss of his own people.
The Saudi ruler said that we hope the Iranian rulers will consider their policies globally as a way of wisdom.
Shah Salman said that the international community should play a role in stopping Iran’s missiles and nuclear program; Saudi Arabia will not delay a moment in taking extreme measures to defend itself.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry, on the other hand, has welcomed the US stand on Iran’s ‘Persa’ nuclear plant.
The United States announced December 15 the waiver of sanctions on the ‘Persa’ nuclear plant after Iran resumed its nuclear activities.
It is to be noted that this month, Iran canceled the UN nuclear inspector permit and announced the resumption of uranium enrichment at the individual nuclear plant.
Protests have been going on in Iran over the past seven days against the increase in petrol prices, which has so far reported the deaths of more than 100 people.
