Federal Minister for Planning Asad Omar says PM has decided to release sick prisoners over 65 years of age.

In his statement, Asad Omar said that it was decided to release the sick prisoners who are not guilty of any hate crime and those who are over 65 years old.
According to Asad Omar, the Prime Minister has asked for a policy of release of such prisoners, this is another step towards a Pakistan where the top priority is the weaker section and not the powerful and wealthy.
It may be recalled that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf member Sindh Assembly Arsalan Taj has also requested the President to pardon sick prisoners in jails across the country.
In his letter, Arsalan Taj has urged the President that if a culprit goes out of the country, the remaining poor should be forgiven and the punishment of sick patients imprisoned in Pakistani jails should be forgiven.
