Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza Appointed as New Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee

Prime Minister Imran Khan appointed Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza as Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee. Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza will take charge of the post on November 27. Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has already been issued an extension.

According to media reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved the name for the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee.
Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza has been appointed as the new Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee. Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza will take over on November 27.

Spokesperson to the Prime Minister House has said that a notification for extension of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has already been issued. Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza received a commission in the Infantry Regiment.

He received the commission in 1985. Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza was appointed Corps Commander Rawalpindi in December 2016. Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza also commanded the Infantry Division in South Waziristan. He was also the Commandant of Pakistan Military Academy. Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza was appointed Chief of General Staff from August 2018.

Besides, Prime Minister Imran Khan met the newly appointed Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza. Prime Minister Imran Khan congratulated Lt. Gen. Nadeem Raza for the post of Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee. Professional issues of Pak Army were also discussed during the meeting.
