Rawalpindi: Major General Asif Ghafoor, chief of the Pakistan Army’s Public Relations (ISPR), has said that the government has no two views on state affairs. He made it clear that the contacts of the Prime Minister and Chief of Army Staff are essential for the development of Pakistan.
Pak Army supports the elected democratic government.
While giving interview to a private TV, DG ISPR told that there was no disagreement between the government and the army and both of them are on the same page.
Major General Asif Ghafoor said that supporting the democratic government is a constitutional responsibility. He said that meetings are part of the routine but it is a separate matter that not every meeting is reported.
He said that the Prime Minister and the Chief of Army Staff are in touch and there are meetings when needed.
Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa had a meeting on the last day in which various issues were discussed.
