Federal Minister for Defense Zubida Jalal has said that Pakistan has earned at least 31 billion rupees from export of defense products in this financial year.
The Minister was talking on the event of the Dubai Airshow 2019, which began on Sunday.
The air show was inaugurated by the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi’s Wali.
Over 1,288 exhibitors and more than 87,000 business visitors are expected to visit the air show over the next five days. More than 160 countries, including Pakistan, are taking part in the mega event that happens every year.
Pakistan’s Super Mushaq training aircraft is also on display at the Airshow, but the JF17 Thunder is not available at this year’s Airshow.
Many of the spectators got saddened when they came to know about Jf-17 thunder not performing. It has been more than 10 years that Jf-17 has been performing in Dubai Airshow.
Zubaida Jalal said that More than $200 million (Rs31 billion) has been earned by defence production’s export and this amount would increase in coming years.
