The Interior Ministry has allowed Nawaz Sharif to go abroad as per the Lahore High Court decision. A memorandum of permission for Nawaz Sharif has also been issued by the Interior Ministry.
According to the memorandum, a decision has been made to allow Nawaz Sharif to withdraw once under interim arrangement and he has been allowed to go abroad for 4 weeks for medical treatment. The memorandum of the Interior Ministry also includes a reference to the affidavit submitted by Shahbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif to the Lahore High Court.
According to sources, Nawaz Sharif will be able to go abroad by showing a certified copy of the court order at any airport.
Immigration sources say former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s name is on the Exit Control List (ECL) and his name will remain in the ECL as per law, the court has allowed him to go abroad only once. And they can get out of the country by showing judicial orders.
Immigration sources in Lahore have further said that Allama Iqbal International Airport administration has not yet been informed of the arrival of an air ambulance carrying Nawaz Sharif to London.
