Robbed Pine nuts (Chilghoza) Recovered, Culprit Arrested From Bannu.

The 23 bags of Pine nuts (chighoza) robbed in Wana few days back, of worth Rs. 10.2 million, were recovered from the mountainous region of Azam Warsak. Central suspect Omar arif Farooq was also arrested in Bannu.

Khyber Pakhtoon Khuwa Police shared this news on their Twitter account.

Previously In the Wana area of ​​South Waziristan, a rare case of robbery has occurred in a warehouse of pine nuts (chilgoza), where the robbers have looted pine nuts of worth 20 millions  rupees.

The owner of the warehouse at Rustam Bazaar, on Wana Bypass Road, says that about a dozen masked suspects jumped the wall and entered the warehouse and took hostages the security guard and other people there.

According to the warehouse owner, the robber escaped from his warehouse with 23 sacks of chalgoza’s worth Rs. 20 million.

District Police Officer Atiqullah said that investigation has been initiated against the unidentified accused.

It is to be noted that the price of chilgoza’s in Pakistan is very high at the moment, one kilogram of chilghoza is being sold at the rate of 80000 and the peeled ones at the rate of 14000 per kilogram.

According to the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA), Pakistan is the second largest country in the world in terms of production of chilgoza after China, while South Waziristan is particularly important with regard to chilgoza, where the largest production of chilgoza is produced in Pakistan. The share is earned and its sales generate billions of rupees annually.
