The well-known photo-sharing app ‘Instagram’ will now experience the hidden number of likes on images in US.
A few months ago, the company began its experience of hiding the number of likes in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Italy, Ireland and Brazil.
Now the company will launch the feature in the United States in a few days with regard to keeping Likes hidden.
During the WIRED25 conference, Instagram chief Adam Musri announced that the US will begin testing the hidden number of likes on the Instagram app from next week, likes will disappear on few users of the app.
He said that the number of likes on the post will only be visible to those who put this post on their account while others will not be able to see the number of likes on this post.
Adam Musri said that the purpose of invisible number of likes is to make your followers on Instagram look more on what you have shared, not on how many likes are being posted to your post.
He added that the main purpose of this change is to remove the users from the pressure of how many likes they have on their post while also comparing the number of likes to one another on a regular basis.
