Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed CDA Chairman to help the participants of the Azadi march by providing all possible support.
The convoy of Azadi march led by Maulana Fazlur Rehman left Karachi on October 27, arriving in Islamabad on October 31 via various cities. The participants of the sit-in have been at the Metro Depot Ground in Sector H Nine, Islamabad for the past 6 days.
Rains and strong winds in Islamabad yesterday increased the intensity of the cold, which also increased the difficulties of the participants and many temporary tents also flew due to the strong winds.
In a statement released on social media, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that he has directed the Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) to visit the premises immediately and provide possible facilities to the participants due to the changing weather.
PM Imran Khan tweet: ”I have directed the CDA Chairman to immediately visit the dharna site to assess what relief and assistance can be provided to the dharna participants with the onset of rain and changing weather conditions.”
