Chief Minister Punjab Usman Bazdar approved the renaming of ‘Patwari’ as the Village Officer and gave them the 14th Scale.
A high level meeting was held in the Chief Minister’s Office under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Punjab Usman Bazdar to review the performance of the department and the matters related to Punjab Land Records Authority.
In the meeting, it was decided to rename the post of Patwari in Punjab. The Chief Minister approved the decision to rename the post of Patwari.
The Village Officer will get the 14th Scale and recruitment will be through Punjab Public Service Commission. After recruitment, 6 months of training will be required.
The Chief Minister also approved the decision to issue laptops for village officers.
The meeting also considered the proposal to give the 11th Scale to the current service patwari and 14th to the suburbs.
It was decided in the meeting that a service structure would be made for the development of the staff of Punjab Land Records Authority.
