Maryam Nawaz has been granted bail on the bail plea submitted in Chauhdary Sugar mill case on 24th of October.
A two-member bench headed by the Lahore High Court Justice Baqir Najafi ruled the case.
The court ordered Maryam Nawaz to submit her passport and two crores of rupees one crore each. In addition, the Lahore High Court has ordered Maryam Nawaz to deposit Rs 7 crore in cash.
President PML-N Shahbaz Sharif expressed his gratitude to Maryam Nawaz’s bail and said that her bail will help out in the better care of Nawaz Sharif during his health condition.
Shahbaz Sharif said that may Allah Almighty gives Nawaz Sharif good health, he appealed to the people, workers, friends to pray specially for the health of Nawaz Sharif instead of distributing the sweets .
NAB arrested Maryam Nawaz August 8 during a meeting with her father Nawaz Sharif while her cousin Yousuf Abbas was also arrested in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
Maryam Nawaz October 24 filed a bail plea for father Nawaz Sharif, on which the court reserved the judgment on October 31.
NAB Prosecutor Jehanzeb Bharwana opposed the bail of Maryam Nawaz, while Amjad Pervez Advocate requested bail on the basis of humanitarian sympathy.
