The court extended the physical remand of PPP leader Khurshid Shah for another five days.
The NAB requested Khurshid Shah to be remanded on the basis of a medical report without being presented to the court, which was rejected by the court.
The court ordered Khurshid Shah to be produced within an hour, on which Khurshid Shah was presented to the court in an ambulance.
The NAB team presented Khurshid Shah in the District and Sessions Judge’s Court. Due to nature his health, Khurshid Shah was brought to the court by ambulance and presented to the court on a wheelchair.
The court ordered Khurshid Shah to appear again on October 9, giving him 5 days physical remand in NAB custody.
It is to be remembered that the inquiry against Syed Khurshid Shah was approved at the Executive Board meeting chaired by Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal, Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on July 31.
