An all-party conference of opposition parties, chaired by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islamist Maulana Fazlur Rahman, is underway.
The All Parties Conference, chaired by Maulana Fazlur Rehman, is being held at his residence in Islamabad, where leaders of nine opposition parties are participating.
Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Mian Iftikhar are attending the APC but PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif is not participating in the APC.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will not attend APC due to visit to South Punjab. Raja Pervez Ashraf, Nayyar Bukhari, Naveed Qamar and Farhatullah Babar will attend the APC on behalf of the PPP.
Sources say the APC will consult on the second phase of the Freedom March and talks with the government.
Spokesman Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that there will be no media talk or press conference after the APC but Maulana Fazlur Rehman will announce the decisions of the APC in the Azadi March.
On the other hand, PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif has also called an important meeting of party leaders today. The post-independence situation will be discussed in the meeting.
Talking to media in Islamabad, Akram Durrani said that Imran Khan had said 500 people would resign if he said, we have brought 4 crore 72 lakh people of the 9 opposition parties in this election.
He said that leaders of Bilawal Bhutto, Shahbaz Sharif and other parties represented their voters. Both Shahbaz Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto had no compulsions which they did not come.
Akram Durrani said that our sit-in is against Imran Khan, we are democratic people. During the protest,even a leave will not be broken.
He added that the entire opposition will decide on the future course of action, no one can think of using force on such a large crowd of people.
