Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that the army is a state body that will continue to perform duties under the constitution and law to assist national institutions, and will not allow the sacrifices of the victims to be discouraged.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Army Department of Public Relations (ISPR), the Corps Commanders Conference was chaired by Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
According to the ISPR, the conference participants vowed to defend the country against all threats.
Addressing the conference, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said, “We have achieved better internal security and stability through joint national efforts, Pakistani armed forces, national institutions and above all, the sacrifices of the nation.” We will not allow this stability to be destroyed at any cost to fulfill one’s heinous agenda.
The Army Chief said that the Pakistan Army will continue to perform the duties assigned under the constitution and law to assist the civilian enterprises.
He added that the Pakistan Army is ready to tackle all sorts of challenges, including the Eastern Border and Line of Control (LoC).
According to the ISPR, the Corps Commanders Conference agreed that stakeholder cohesion on important national issues was necessary to defeat the enemy forces.
The conference also reviewed the situation of National Security, Internal Security, Eastern Border, LOC and occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
