The participants of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Freedom March have camped at the H9 Ground in Islamabad, while the deadline given by Maulana Fazlur Rehman to prime minister Imran Khan to resign will end tomorrow.
The government says they are ready for talks, but there will be no talk on the prime minister’s resignation.
In this situation, the Rahbar Committee consisting of nine opposition parties also sat down to determine the future course of action.
Sources say that the Muslim League and the PPP opposed the sit-in at the meeting and the JUI-F failed to convince them in this regard.

Following the aforementioned meeting, the Leader’s Committee held a joint press conference, stating that the opposition agreed to the resignation of the prime minister and the demand for new elections without oversight of the army.
