Maulana Fazlur Rehman while talking to the media told in the reply to DG ISPR’s question that he raised in a talk with private TV channel, “He (DG ISPR) is a representative of the Army and the statement regarding political issues shouldn’t be coming from Army but from political representatives of country .
When media representatives questioned Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s statement about the DGISPR statement after attending a joint meeting of the opposition on Friday night, he said, “DGISPR has made his own conversation. I made it clear that when I talked about institutions, what could it mean?, he himself assumed that we talked about any institution and that is army.
“I don’t need to express it. They told themselves that I meant the institutions.”
Fazlur Rehman said, “In this way, they should not involve themselves in politics, he should keep himself out of politics.”
Why has the Director General of the ISPR tried to push the military establishment into a confrontation with the public? ‘
He said that supporting a government like Imran Khan to support democracy is not a successful move.
“The army is a neutral institution, as they themselves have said, and they (Asif Ghafoor) should have remained neutral. They have tried to neutralize the army with their statement, which should not have happened.
He said that his initial statement regarding the institutions was in response to Imran Khan’s statement in which he said that the army was on my back.
Previously, Maulana didn’t even take the name of army he just focused on word ‘institution’ referring to army indirectly so that whenever he has to back off from his statement, he could say we haven’t discussed about army.
