Addressing a rally of Independence March yesterday, Maulana Fazlur Rehman gave the Prime Minister a 48-hour ultimatum to resign.
Roads have been partially closed in several places in Islamabad after the opposition’s statements came out. Only one of the four lines of Murree Road at Faizabad is open for traffic due to the heavy traffic pressure there.
A meeting of the government talks committee was held today at the residence of Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani, in which consultations were held on the strategy for the March of Independence.
After the meeting, the government negotiating committee met with Prime Minister Imran Khan at Bani Gala and briefed him on the demands of the opposition.
Prime Minister has said that any illegal demands of opposition wouldn’t be fulfilled. The government will neither resign nor will arrange elections. PM Imran Khan has urged the interior ministry to get prepared to cope up with any kind of situation.
