Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, who was arrested in the LNG case, was taken to Pims Hospital where he underwent medical examination after his condition deteriorated.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested the senior vice-president of the PML-N and former Minister of Petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on July 18 in the LNG case.
Reference has not yet been filed by NAB against Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and remand of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has been extended several times by the Accountability Court.
On October 28, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi told the Accountability Court that his surgery had been suggested by the Medical Board, so the court allowed me to treat the healing at the International Hospital.
Shahid Khaqan also requested the court to show his case directly to the media so that the whole of Pakistan can see how corrupt the elected representatives are.
The accountability court has extended the remand of former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on November 19 to NAB’s request.
Now, it is reported that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s condition in Adiala jail was critical and the jail authorities brought him to Pims hospital.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi conducted his check-up at the Cardiac Center, spokesman Dr Waseem said.
According to Dr Wasim, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s heart, kidney and hernia were checked up. After checkup, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi left Pims.
