Pakistan Army spokes person Major General Asif Ghafoor says the opposition needs to understand that the military is a neutral institution.
In a conversation with Private TV, Director General, Interservices Public Relations (DG ISPR), Major General Asif Ghafoor said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman should take his concerns to the concerned agencies, accusing them on the roads will not solve the problems. ۔
He said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman is a senior politician who knows what he is saying. The first thing is to ask him what he is talking about, he is referring to the Election Commission, the courts or the army. If they are talking about the army, then it is the opposition’s understanding that the army is a neutral body, we believe in the constitution and the implementation of the law.
The DG ISPR said that our support is with a democratically elected government, not for any single party.
He said that the army fulfilled the constitutional and legal responsibility of the election, a year has passed since the elections, yet they have the constitutional right to take the reservations to the concerned institution. Take it to the side because the street protests and blaming will not solve problems.
Spokesman Pak Army added that we should follow democratic traditions and practices, a committee of government and opposition has been formed, they are doing good coordination among each other, hopefully the work of the committees will go ahead.
The DG ISPR said that the army is a national and impartial body, supporting the government with the constitution and law, in the context of the law and the constitution. Whatever decision the government will take, it will be processed according to the law.
He said that the country’s stability would not be allowed to do any harm.
According to the DG ISPR, we have made peace in the country by sacrificing lives and property, there is still tension on the Line of Control and persecution is also taking place in occupied Kashmir.
He said that brave clans and the people have spent the last two decades in trouble, the al-Qaeda continues throughout the country so that lasting peace is established, no disturbance in the country is in the interest of the country.
