The federal government began work to stop the Azadi March of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUIF) through the Islamabad administration.
In the federal capital, additional police personnel will be deployed from Azad Kashmir, Punjab and Balochistan to order evacuation of government buildings in Islamabad.
Sources say additional police personnel will be provided accommodation at the National Library, Sports Complex, Community Centers and Schools, while the Interior Ministry has directed the Islamabad administration to release funds for the establishment and meals of them.
On the other hand, containers have been delivered to Attock Bridge connecting Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the Indus River and the decision of the Interior Ministry is awaiting for the closure of the bridge.
According to police officials, the attock bridge will be closed completely upon receiving the order of the Interior Ministry, while sources say that Lahore GT Road is likely to be closed from Peshawar in view of the Azadi March.
Sources said that a decision has been made to construct a control room in the interior ministry to control Punjab, the federal capital and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The IGs will follow the commands of the control room.
