Shahbaz Sharif, President of Pakistan Muslim League-N, announced full participation in the Azadi March of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F).
Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUIF), met Shahbaz Sharif at his residence in Model Town, Lahore, to discuss the country’s political situation and Azadi march.

He said that we have received instructions from Mian Nawaz Sharif on Maulana’s Azadi march, will participate fully in the march of independence on October 31 and will announce our next course of action.
He said that the destructive situation of the country is proof of the failure of the PTI government, Imran Khan has failed miserably and wants to put the blame on the institutions for his failure.
Shahbaz Sharif said that if the PML-N got the government, we will show them by standing the economy at its footsteps in just six months.
The president of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman thanked Shahbaz Sharif and his party on the occasion, on the decision to join the Azadi march on October 31st.
He said that October 27 will be a day of solidarity with the Kashmiris and we have decided to enter Islamabad on October 31. We would like to move forward with the advice of all the leaders and opposition parties and take the next steps after deciding collectively.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman once again rejected the possibility of dialogue with the government and said that the government was setting up committees for dialogue on the one hand and abusive and derogatory behavior on the other.
He said that ridicule and abuse, negotiations and seriousness can never go together. If the government is serious about negotiating, then resign first and then negotiate for the next steps.
It is to be remembered that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) announced October 27 as a march which has been supported by all opposition parties including Jamiat Ulema-e- Islam, while the political heat has increased in the country since the announcement of Azadi March.
