Last year, Ethiopia signed an agreement with neighboring country Eritrea to end the 20-year border war, with Abiy Ahmed Ali awarded Nobel’s 100th Peace Prize for peaceful resolution of military conflict.
Various predictions and forecasts were being made about the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize 2019, but out of 223 people and 78 nominated organizations, Prime Minister of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmad Ali came out victorious. It is to be noted that Malala Yousafzai, a young student from Pakistan, has also won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014.
