The Election Commission dismissed the PTI’s petition, ruling the request of PTI about leak proceedings of the scrutiny committee in foreign funding case. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had submitted four petitions against the leakage of the proceedings of scrutiny committee on which a three-member commission headed by Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Raza passed the verdict.
Chief Election Commissioner said that Pakistan Election Commission rejects PTI requests, instructs the scrutiny committee to continue its work. PTI will appear before the committee on October 14.
Talking to the media after the Election Commission decision, PTI rebel leader and applicant Akbar S. Babar said that the Election Commission of Pakistan has rejected all four PTI applications even today. The meeting will be held again on October 14. PTI has earlier requested that the proceedings of the scrutiny committee be kept confidential.
