US Senators Christopher Van Hullen and Maggie Hassan met with Pak Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa.
According to Pak Army Department of Public Relations (ISPR), Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa met with US Senators Christopher Van Hullen and Maggie Hassan. The meeting discussed issues of mutual interest and the overall situation of the region.
According to the ISPR, the meeting discussed the reconciliation process in Afghanistan while the situation in Kashmir was also discussed. Speaking on the occasion, General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that the United States is grateful for the need for co-operation and the need for Kashmir solution.
US Senators say Pakistan’s efforts in regional peacekeeping are valuable. According to the ISPR, the Army Chief appreciated US support for the resolution of Kashmir issue and appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for peace in Afghanistan.
It is to be remembered that a delegation of US Senators had met Prime Minister Imran Khan while the delegation visited Azad Kashmir yesterday where they met President and the Prime Minister of AJK.
